The Pittsfield Suns get on top of the North Shore Navigators early but can't hang on in 8-4 loss

The Pittsfield Suns (5-5) came out firing, but couldn't hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of an 8-4 ballgame against the North Shore Navigators (1-8) on Sunday at Wahconah Park.
The North Shore Navigators took the lead in the fifth inning on a two-run single by Nick DiBenedetto.
DiBenedetto led the North Shore Navigators' offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He scored one run and had two RBIs. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth innings.
Alex Brickman pitched lights out for the North Shore Navigators. The Pittsfield Suns managed just three hits off of Brickman, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his 4 2/3 innings of work.
Al Zachary had a hot bat for the Pittsfield Suns. Zachary went 3-5, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third and ninth innings.
Manny Powers couldn't get it done on the bump for the Pittsfield Suns, taking a loss. He lasted just three innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
