The Pittsfield Suns outdone by Mrowka and the Torrington Titans, 8-6

Cooper Mrowka went 2-4, helping the Torrington Titans (6-10) to an 8-6 victory over the Pittsfield Suns (7-8) on Saturday at Wahconah Park.
He singled in the second inning and doubled in the third inning.
Malachi Emond had an impressive outing against the Pittsfield Suns' lineup. Emond held the Pittsfield Suns hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five.
Justin Morhardt racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Pittsfield Suns. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and fifth innings.
Ryan Simpler brought the heat against the Torrington Titans during his outing. The Torrington Titans managed just one hit off of Simpler, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his 4 2/3 innings of work.
Brandon Shileikis ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked none and struck out one.
