The Bristol Blues need extra frames to finish the Pittsfield Suns, win 5-3

The Bristol Blues beat the Pittsfield Suns 5-3 but needed 12 innings to do so on Thursday at Wahconah Park.
With the score tied at two in the twelfth inning, Chris Morris came to the plate and singled, scoring Brandon Grover and Hunter Southerland.
Artavious Marsh put together a nice outing. The Pittsfield Suns managed just two hits off of the the Bristol Blues' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out five during his five innings of work.
Matt Cuneo had an impressive outing against the Bristol Blues' lineup. The Bristol Blues managed just one hit off of Cuneo, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.
Mike Kreiger recorded his first win of the year for the Bristol Blues. He allowed one run over two innings. Kreiger struck out one, walked three and gave up no hits.
Reid Connolly (0-1) took the loss for the Pittsfield Suns. He lasted just zero innings, walked three, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
